Roger W. Jones (1908-1993) was born in New Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Cornell University and received a master’s degree from Columbia University. In 1933 he moved to Washington, DC, and went to work for the Bureau of the Budget. During the Eisenhower administration Jones served as Assistant Director for Legislative Reference and as Deputy Director of the Bureau. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. John Kennedy, the second of nine children, attended Choate Academy (1932-1935), Princeton University (1935-36), Harvard College (1936-40), and Stanford Business School (1941).
